Our Story

Laptop King started in 2002 as Best 4 Less — a computer wholesaler in the heart of Markham's business district. From day one, we imported parts directly from manufacturers in Shenzhen, cutting out the Canadian distributor markup entirely.

We quickly became the supplier that repair shops, retail stores, and small businesses across the GTA and Ontario relied on for all their laptop and computer parts. As our reputation grew, so did our reach — today we service customers across all of Canada, from GTA walk-ins to coast-to-coast mail-in repairs.

Customers who bought parts from us started asking if we could install them too. That's how the repair side of the business was born. Today we're both — Canada's direct laptop parts importer and a full-service repair center. When you repair with us, you pay the same wholesale cost that other shops buy parts for. No one else in Canada offers that.

Founded as Best 4 Less
Started as a B2B computer wholesaler in Markham, importing laptop parts directly from manufacturers in China. First customers were repair shops, retail stores, and small businesses across the GTA and Ontario.

2005
Launched Repair Services
Customers kept asking if we could install the parts they bought from us. We hired certified technicians and opened our repair counter. Same-day service from day one — because the parts were already in the building.

2009
Launched on eBay
Took our wholesale-priced parts online for the first time via eBay, making our inventory available to customers across Canada and beyond. One of the first Canadian laptop parts sellers on the platform.

Launched on Amazon.ca & BestBuy.ca
Expanded to Amazon.ca and BestBuy.ca under the Laptop King brand, and later Newegg.ca and other major marketplace platforms. Made our direct-import pricing available to millions of Canadian shoppers.

Added Board Level & Advanced Repair
Invested in microsoldering equipment and trained technicians in component-level board repair. Now handling repairs that most shops in the GTA turn away or send out — at a fraction of the cost of a motherboard replacement.
